Which is better to visit Scottsdale or Sedona?

Both are great but very different, but as RedRox has mentioned, Sedona is closer to Grand Canyon (Painted Desert is all over east of GC) and location of Sedona is superb. Nightlife is better in Scottsdale though.

When we compare the travel costs of actual travelers between Phoenix and Sedona, we can see that Sedona is more expensive. And not only is Phoenix much less expensive, but it is actually a significantly cheaper destination. So, traveling to Phoenix would let you spend less money overall.
