Which beach is prettier Pensacola or Orange Beach?

Both beaches are family oriented but more so in the Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach area. It does sound nicer to say that you are vacationing in Florida than Alabama but the truth is Orange Beach is much nicer than Pensacola Beach and I have lived in both.

Pensacola has shops, restarurants, a fishing pier, ferris wheel and little activities within walking distance. It is a smaller and more narrow beach town so the oceanside and soundside are close. The beaches are just a pretty as Gulf Shores and the water is as blue.

As far as which is nicer between Destin and Pensacola, they are pretty similar. Pensacola tends to have a more natural feel though with areas of undeveloped beaches between PCola Beach and Navarre or Ft. Pickens. And also less crowded.
