South Padre Island is the best Texas beach IMHO. The water is not dirty, it is clear brown. Not blue like the Caribbean. The beaches are cleaned daily.

Much of the beaches on South Padre are very natural and ungroomed which would be beautiful if the trash and glass were cleaned up.
