Is Nevada hotter than Arizona?

Las Vegas is on the eastern fringe of the drier Mohave Desert. There are only occasional rains there when Arizona monsoons cross over into Nevada. Phoenix is both hotter and more humid. On any given day with the right conditions Las Vegas could be hotter and/or more humid, but overall it is not.

Is it hotter in Arizona or Nevada?

Average highs in the middle of summer are 101°-105° in Las Vegas, while average highs in Phoenix are about 104°-106°. In winter, both cities have very tolerable temperatures. The average winter low in Phoenix ranges from 44°-48°, while Las Vegas sees slightly cooler temperatures with average lows of around 38°-42°.
