Is it safe to go to uptown Charlotte?

December 14, 2021 by Sadie Daniel

Uptown Charlotte is very safe. Events at the Bobcat Arena are very heavily policed. I have worked more Arena events then I can count, and there was never an incident more serious than a car break in. Overwhelmingly, the serious crimes that happen in the Uptown area happen on side streets, away from the heavy crowds.
