AUSTIN, Texas — While we are entering the cooler months of the year, new research shows Texas will get hotter in the years to come. Most people who move to Austin are chasing warmer temperatures.Now, a report by Texas A&M warns that the number of 100-degree days will double by 2036.

Based on the American climate prospectus, the average summer temperatures across the state will rise over the next 70 years. From 2020 through 2039, the average summer temperature is predicted to be in the upper 70s to low 80s in the northernmost part of the state and to 90 to 100 degrees in south Texas.
