Atlanta is relatively flat throughout most of the metro area. Stone Mountain being the single exception. Stone Mountain, a community about 15 miles or so east of Atlanta boasts the largest exposed piece of granite in thr world. It is a relatively tall hill that can be seen from many areas around the city.
