Alabama Ammo Laws Alabama law prohibits the possession or sale of brass or steel Teflon-coated handgun ammunition and other like ammunition designed to penetrate bullet-proof vests (armor piercing). This prohibition is in addition to federal restrictions against armor-piercing ammunition.
