Can we go Manali to Leh by car?

Taking a road trip in self-owned car or self-drive rental will be the best way to go. The shortest distance is around 473 kilometres and would need at least two to three days. The Manali to Leh road passes through Rohtang pass. You will need a permit to cross this pass, which is available at Manali SDM or online.

Manali to Leh road runs a total of 490 kilometers. Of this, 230 kilometers is in Himachal Pradesh, and the remaining 260 kilometers is in Ladakh. Sarchu acts as the border between two regions. The road from Manali to Sarchu is in Himachal and Sarchu to Leh is in Ladakh.

Can I take Honda City to Leh?

Not a great idea. The Honda City has low clearance and the route is very unforgiving for such cars. Honda City is surely not a great Car to travel on Manali-Leh highway as there are many water crossings on the route and with its low ground clearance it can give you a really tough time.
