Avignon is a transportation hub for Western Provence with more connections to the rest of the region than Aix.Avignon has good transport to popular places like Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, le Pont du Gard, l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgues, Arles, and the Lubéron villages, so it’s an ideal base for travelers without a car.
