Typically, you have one or two hour-long supervisions each week (this varies from course to course) and you do preparation for each one – usually reading, writing an essay or working on some problems.

How long are Cambridge lectures?

Each lecture lasts about 50 minutes. All lectures take place in week day and Saturday (but not Sunday) mornings. In the first year, there are two lectures a day (i.e. 12 a week), for 20 weeks, and students should attend all lectures.
