Can I take food to France on Eurotunnel?

There are no restrictions on what you can take regarding food/drink on Eurotunnel to France.

Can I take food into France?

You are not allowed to take meat or meat products to France apart from fish or fish products (up to a maximum of 20kg). You are not allowed to take milk, cheese, yoghurt or other milk-based products except for infant milk, infant food or food required by humans or pets for medical reasons.

Can I take biscuits to France?

You can also bring in items containing products of plant origin but processed, crushed, powdered, cooked etc… so that would inlude eg. biscuits and baked beans (however it may be safer to put the latter in hold luggage however, in case considered too ‘liquid’ for cabin rules).

Can you take bread to France?

You could travel with bread but not a sandwich, as you cannot bring even a small amount of butter, meat, or cheese that would be included inside it. Fresh fruit, vegetables and cut flowers are also all banned, so you cannot keep an apple or a banana in your pocket as a snack.

The EU’s strict phyto-sanitary rules mean that all imports of animal derived products technically come under these rules, so sending a box of chocolates by post to France is now not allowed (because of the milk). Parcels that contain banned animal products can be seized and destroyed at the border.
