How much is it to rent a Twizy in Bermuda?

The Current Vehicles rent-a-Twizy operation is located at the Hamilton Princess Hotel in downtown Hamilton. We arrived to find a section of the parking lot occupied by a couple of dozen of the terminally cute little bugs. The rental rate was $99 a day, plus a mandatory $30 fee for insurance.

Tourists cannot rent cars in Bermuda. The island has excellent bus and ferry services. Taxis are plentiful and reasonably price. You can also rent a scooter.

We wouldn’t advise venturing onto the motorway, even though some Twizy owners do. Altogether less impressive is the ride; it’s far too firm at any speed, and particularly painful over urban potholes and speed bumps. For reference, the Twizy is less comfortable than any normal road car you’ll ever have driven.

Is a Twizy waterproof?

It’s a rather comical review of the Renault Twizy and it includes taking the windowless car through a pressure wash (note: the interior of the Twizy is claimed to be waterproof).

Does a Twizy have heating?

Twizy obviously doesn’t have all the comfort of a regular car. There’s no heating or radio, although you can use a removable music player.
