Can you drive cars in Bermuda?

Today, Bermuda has a large number of private cars, almost one for every two inhabitants; however, only residents are allowed to drive them.Car prices are much higher than in the United States, Canada, and Europe, due to heavy import duties, and residents are also limited to one car per household.

All persons driving cars in Bermuda must have a valid Bermuda-issued driving license, issued only to Bermudians or residents (see above). Non-local drivers’ licenses – those issued outside Bermuda by any country – are not valid in Bermuda.
