Transport for London (TfL) announced today that Victoria Tube station is now step-free, improving access to the transport network for millions of people.

You don’t say exactly where near Victoria you are staying, but perhaps consider taking the tube to Sloane Square, which you can exit without using stairs (assuming you’re fine with escalators), and then a cab from there.

Does Highbury and Islington have a lift?

The lift is located to the right of the stairs for Platform 8. The floors which are accessible by this lift are Concourse – Platform 8. The lift is approximately 28m (30yd 1ft) from the ticket barriers. Staff do not need to be notified for use of the lift.
