If you wish to work while you study (either on campus or off campus), the following are some points to note: You are required to apply for and obtain the work permit before starting work. The maximum work hours are 20 hours per week, except during summer and winter vacation.

Are students allowed to work in Taiwan?

A: According to the Employment Services Act (Item 68), international students who wish to work in Taiwan (either on campus or off campus) are required to apply for and obtain a work permit before starting work.
