Sea kraits are quite common around the beaches of Bali. They are considered ‘holy’ (‘ular suci’) and can sometimes be seen in small caves at Tanah Lot. Most ‘true’ sea snakes live far out to sea, (there may be 15-20 different kinds) and do not come ashore.There is no antivenom to treat sea snake bites in Bali.
