Is Tunisia part of the EU?

In July 1995, Tunisia became the first Mediterranean country to sign an Association Agreement with the EU. The removal of customs duties set out in the Agreement was completed in 2008, leading to the creation of a free-trade area, the first ever between the EU and a Mediterranean partner.
