Persons wishing to embark on officer training in the SA Navy must have a Senior Certificate. Compulsory school subjects: English and Afrikaans, with the home language on the higher grade, Mathematics and Physical Science on higher grade for Engineering Officers, Mathematics and Physical Science for Combat Officers.
