Northern America—the northern region of the North American continent, including Canada, the United States, Greenland, Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, and Bermuda. Central America—the countries south of the United States and north of Colombia.

Central America is not a separate continent, but a regional distinction describing the isthmus that connects North and South America.
