Is Frick Park in Pittsburgh Safe?

Although it is a nice but relatively small park in a largely urban area, its not exactly safe. My only experience at Frick Park was with a large group of co-workers when we all got together to play football. Most of our cars were broken into and our personal belongings stolen.
