The Hungarian Forint is the currency and the only one you should use. While other currencies (I.e., Sterling, Euro, USD) are accepted in some places, the exchange rate you will receive will likely be very bad, say 10%+ less than the actual. You should use your ATM when arriving to pull out some cash.
