Miami has a growing Asian population. In the 2010 census the city reached a full one percentage point Asian for the first time. Miami Beach is even more popular with Asians (1.9% in 2010). Both of these percentages are likely higher today due to international buyers and immigrants relocating to the Miami area.

Broward had the largest population of Asians in South Florida, with a total of 36,581, compared with 16,757 in 1990, an increase of 118 percent. Many were concentrated in the western Broward cities of Pembroke Pines, Weston, Coral Springs and Parkland.
