In fact it is one of the safest places in the UK. In a survey conducted in 2018, almost 90% of Edinburgh citizens claimed that they felt safe in the city. In another poll, conducted in 2014, Edinburgh was voted the safest city in the UK of all the ten most-populated cities in the country.
