We’ve been to both— Cancun is definitely better. We stayed at the Atlantis on Paradise Island, and while the water is pretty and calm there, the Bahamas do not compare to Cancun at all. The service and people of Cancun are 1st class. The service in the Bahamas (at least in our experience) was far from perfect.
