Training in the state is available in three (3) ways.

  1. Classroom seminars conducted by the state Department of Liquor Control (DLC) educators.
  2. DLC online seminar.
  3. Through a director/partner/owner/manager who has already been to a seminar or has taken the DLC online training (using materials provided by the DLC)

How long does it take to get a liquor license in Vermont?

You do not need all of the above paperwork to file your application with your locality however, this information must be provided to the DLC before a license may be issued. The process can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks after the DLC receives your application with ALL information required.

Do you need a license to bartend in Vermont?

No. The Vermont Division of Liquor Control does not license bartenders.
