2021’s Global Peace Index put Taiwan 34th on a list of 163 countries. That’s not too shabby. When it comes to safety, Taipei City is much safer than other large capital cities – safer than London, safer than Paris and even safer than New York City. The crime rate in Taipei is so much lower than in these other cities.
