Of the 16 urban centers, seven are large cities (metropolitan and sub-metropolitan cities) and the other nine are municipalities. Three sub-metropolises (Lalitpur, Dharan and Birgunj) and two municipalities (Kirtipur and Banepa) have such values in two functional categories.
