Built in 1976, the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel stood 73 stories tall as Atlanta’s tallest building. This changed in 1983 when 191 Peachtree Center was built even taller. The hotel was built in a cylindrical shape with reflective glass so as to reflect the skyline downtown.
