Ke Ala Hele Makalae (Kauai Multiuse Path) is a 7.2 mile out and back trail located near Kapaʻa, Kauai, Hawaii and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, running, and road biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

How long is the Kauai bike path?

The Kauai path is one of the funnest things to do on the island. This 10 mile long path goes from Lydgate beach park to Donkey beach. The best way to navigate it is to rent bikes in Kapaa town. From here you can ride 4 miles up to Donkey beach.

Can you bike everywhere in Kauai?

Yes you can. Kauai cycle in Kapa’a rented bikes the last time I was there others do as well. The roads are pretty narrow and don’t have a shoulder, but it depends on where on the island you’re staying. If you want to do distance you’ll have to ride on the highway that rings the island (Kuhio highway?).
