Are Delaware beaches open now?

The Delaware beaches, overnight accommodations, food and drink establishments are all open. Some locations may be operating under different capacity or require reservations. If you’re staying overnight, locations are following enhanced safety and disinfecting protocols.

Is Bethany Beach open to non residents?

Those without a Bethany Beach residential parking pass will be able to park in a limited number of two-hour spaces in the central downtown C-1 area. Spaces along Pennsylvania Avenue will also be available to non-residents under the pay-to-park system, with a longer parking time available there.

Our beach is lifeguard patrolled starting Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Lifeguard hours are 9:30AM – 5:30PM on weekends and 10:00AM – 5:00PM Monday through Friday.

Pay to park is effective every day May 15th through September 15. All public parking is either pay to park or by resident or business permit. Payments or permits are required beginning at 10:00 a.m. daily until either 4:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., or 11:00 p.m. as designated by signs depending on location.

Is Bethany Beach a dry town?

Originally a dry town, Bethany Beach now has a limited number of establishments with liquor licenses.

Is Bethany Beach de Nice?

It is a nice family friendly location. The boardwalk and downtown are not as chaotic as Ocean City (which we love for a day trip to the boardwalk) or as upscale/trendy as Rehoboth (which we love for dinners out without the kids and for window shopping). Depending on what you want, it is a nice place to spend a week.
